Rosa Prado

Resident Artist

Rosa's love for Theatre began when she was encouraged by her 4th grade teacher to create and perform a few short skits for a show at the end of the school year. She'd never been given the liberty to create something that was meant to be performed for a large audience, and she absolutely never looked back. After participating in shows all through grades 4th-12th, she went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, with a concentration in Technical Theatre, which soon became her true love. During her undergrad career Rosa stage managed and directed a number of shows and musicals at The City College of New York which include: The Full Monty, The Inspector General, Much Ado About Nothing, Electricidad, three One Act Play Festivals, and a couple of original shows that were presented both off and off-off Broadway.  Rosa is currently the Artistic and Technical Director of the Drama Club at her church in East Harlem which organizes and produces short plays during the summers and holiday season with the children in the community. In May of 2018, Rosa will have completed her Masters of Science in Educational Theatre where she has also had the opportunity to be the Technical Director at the Harlem Children's Theatre Festival for the past two years. She is so excited to have to opportunity to work with the Classical Remix Company, and cannot wait to work with and learn from the students and teachers at P.S. 264.
